Retention

In the method of teaching they should a teacher have retention in the learner because when the learning have been incorporated into the learner’s behavior patent or retained and remembered. On the other hand, forgetting occurs when brain trace which is the physical record of the memory fades away. There are condition that cause forgetting: Disuse, Inference, Retroactive or Proactive inhibition, Reorganization and motivated forgetting in this condition the teacher know about in the learner why they forgetting the lessons that’s why the teacher must have to retention the student and their behavior. Transfer of Learning is application of knowledge learned in one situation to a new or different learning environment or situation. There are types of transferring of learning: Lateral Transfer and Vertical Transfer. In Lateral Transfer is occurs when individual is able to perform a new task about the same level and in Vertical Transfer is occurs when the individual is able to learn more advance or complex skills it because there are two transferring of learning because in the learner there have deferent of learners. In retention there are theories of transfer: Formal-discipline theory, Identical-elements theory, Generalization Theory, and Transposition Theory. In this four theory it tells about the process of acquiring, remembering, and applies knowledge and other modes of response.
